“Keberisikan dan kekhawatiran yang ada di kepala pada saat itu, bikin gue lumayan anxious. Mencari-cari alasan untuk salahkan hari, padahal it’s just a bad day,” kata Teddy Adhitya dalam keterangan resmi yang diterima Billboard Indonesia.
Ditulisnya lagu ini sekaligus menjadi pengingat, bahwa bagaimanapun hidup harus tetap berjalan, dan kita sebagai manusia harus bisa menikmati masa kini dengan penuh rasa syukur.
Rangkuman perasaan Teddy ini akhirnya divisualisasikan dalam video musik “Kini”. Videonya kurang lebih sangat natural, menampilkan kegiatan sebagai anak dan musisi, dari mulai menyambut sang Ayah di pintu masuk festival musik hingga turun panggung.
“Videonya hampir seperti daily vlog. Gue menikmati momen pertama kali lagi festivalan sama bokap, setelah terakhir beliau nonton gue manggung di ‘Deep in The Ocean Showcase’ tahun lalu. Meskipun hari itu keadaan fisiknya pasca stroke belum 100% pulih, gue dikasih berkat untuk bisa punya kesempatan menikmati momen bersamanya. Direkam cuma pake handycam,” jelas Teddy soal video yang digarap hanya berdua dengan kekasihnya, Jelita Clough.
Berbicara soal keterkaitan lagu-lagu di album, ternyata “Kini” masih satu alignment dengan trek keenam album Teddy berjudul “Kembalikanku” yang mengungkapkan kerinduan terhadap suatu masa.
“Kalau ‘Kini’ sebenarnya kita menghidupi lagi perasaan itu di saat ini dengan percepatan digital yang seperti ini, percepatan komunikasi yang seperti ini. Kayaknya tetap bisa, gimana bijaknya kita aja dalam mengontrol diri kita untuk menikmati saat ini dan mengurangi kekhawatiran terhadap kemarin dan besok,” tutup Teddy.
Menyusul perilisan EP Kembalikanku dan video musik “Kini”, Teddy Adhitya bersiap melaksanakan sebuah tur album yang rencananya dimulai akhir 2024.
